tsinelas kong dilaw — tag-ulan na naman
tag-ulan na naman. uso na naman ang mga japorms na jacket at makuklay na payong. uso na naman ang baha at lalong lalo na ang pag deklara ng walang pasok ng mga eskwelahan.
Babae Kami (Marra Lanot)
Babae kami
Hindi pagkaing
Sa mesa ihahain
Babaltan, hihimayin
Pampuno ng tiyan
O bagay lang sa basurahan.
Babae kami
Hindi manikang lalaruin, huhubaran
Bibihisan, Ikukulong
Sa kuna o ididispley
Sa eskaparate.
Babake kami
Hindi lupang
Dudunkalan ng tanso,
Hiyas at ginto
Tatamnan at iiwanan
Pagkatapos ng ani
Hahayaang magputik
Aaapak-apakan o gagawing
Kandungan ng mga kalansay.
Babae Kami
Tao rin naman
Hindi robot o basahan
Hindi kaserola o kubeta
Hindi panaginip na walang isip
O imahen na hahabulin
Sa lumilipad na ulap.
Babae kami
nagluluwal ng sanggol
Na tagapagmana ng mundo
Marunong kaming umaninag
Ng hugis sa araw at gabi
Marunong maghimay
Ng kulay ng bahaghari
Marunong sumalo
Sa kaluluwang
babagsak
Marunong magmahal
Sa pusong maaalalahanin
Marunong lumaban
At mag wasto ng baligtad
Habang naghahardin
Sa ikagaganda ng daigdig.
Smash the extra calories, drop the extra weight
The screws in my body have been oiled once again in the game of badminton. Yesterday, i was motivated to play bandminton with some of the officemates. We played from 830pm to 1030pm. It feels like my sweat glands are in widely amazed by getting myself involved again in sports. Indeed, it has been awhile since my taekwondo days – I’m on my toes getting physically fit.
My motivation mainly is to shut the mouth of the the people blabbing on my bulges and flabs. I honestly had the feeling to escape the game. A fat thought bubble of inviting bed has somehow starts to manipulate me. But my ingenious qual officemate flooded me with competitive examples. Soon, i found myself changing from work clothes to my sports attire which i unearthed in the pile of unused clothes in my closet.
The establishment is called Sheridan which was located at Pioneer, Pasig. A lot of cars are parked outside the gym. Inside, numerous courts are occupied with competent ladies and gentlemen – all geared for the smash and drops of the game called badminton. The gym was humid. You can smell the sweat being bodily excreted. We walked passed several courts and found our court. The court where the defining moment of losing the extra calories and weight.
We played from 830pm to 1030pm. There were minimal water breaks. As the time lapsed, I realized I smashed the extra calories and dropped the extra weight that I have…I decided to eradicate the glutonny in my tampered screws. May wednesdays be the day of smashing the extra calories and dropping the extra weight.

Treated like a princess and loved by an art director
Last Saturday, I was treated at a fine-dining restaurant. It is called Chef Laudico’s restaurant disguised amongst one of the upscale subdivision in Makati. It served a seven-meal course. All the utensils are lined before you – three forks on the left while three knives and two teaspoons are on the right. As the candles flickers in the night, the appetizer was served – tuno trio as they want to call it. The first tuna was like sushi only that it the surface was grilled leaving the middle part raw. The second was tuna cold cuts topped with curry sauce. And lastly, tuna cut in small pieces drenched in tomatoes and onion and wrapped in a small taco shell. By the way, this is my favorite among the three. The crunch of the taco shell made it more interesting to eat. It added texture to the appetizing dish.
Soup was served in a cocktail glass. It was shrimp soup in tomato base garnished with scallops. The uniqueness of the serving glass made the dish more exquisite. As the breeze brushes through th drapes of a hut-like dining area, our courteous waiter served the other dishes- the garden salad whereby romaine lettuce was on top of the grilled watermelon with briscotti entwined with home-made bacon. Next in line was a sour jell-o chilled in a shot glass. i wasn’t able to catch the exact name of the dish however, by the taste of it, I resolved the very purpose of the dish. Primarily to break off the consistency of the taste of the several dishes served.
Off to the main course, two fat tiger shrimp lying on the carbonara pasta. It was like the noodles were intricately placed in the middle of the plate and the orange stripes from the shrimp enlivens the plate. Romantic melody was played while finishing off the pasta and preparing to devour the last main course – angus beef preferably cooked medium rare. It was plated extraordinarily, a thyme was sticking out upward from the coiled beef. It is like a plant sprouting from a fertile pot. Home-made bacon was wrapped around the beef to add juicy flavor. Red cabbage and sweet bits made the dish elegantly red. Alas, dessert. Chocolate trio. The rich chocoloate was sumptuous especially with enough helping of strawberry flavor.
The whole entourage was planned well. Food were served before me without me speaking and agonizing over the price. Bottomline, I wouldn’t be treated like a princess if I wasn’t loved by an art director- my boyfriend.
